One night for Otis

Mo’ Onions is the world’s premier vegetable-themed tribute to Booker T. & the MGs. Once a year we add horns and singers for a night of Otis Redding, every January around the anniversary of “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.”

The show is built on the 1967 Stax/Volt Revue: MGs instrumentals, then the Mar-Keys horns, then Roscoe Foster singing Otis, with Michelle Flood on the Carla Thomas duets. The arrangements are drawn from his live recordings in Oslo and at Monterey Pop.
